When Iron Farms get damaged in Minecraft, it’s a total BOTHER and that’s why if you’re asking yourself «Why isn’t my Iron Farm working?», here we give you the SOLUTION. Read it ALL 😎👍
I’ll leave a great Iron Farm at the end!! a VERY RELIABLE farm
Why isn’t my iron farm working
Basically there are three problems that affect these farms
- The zombie doesn’t update
- The villagers haven’t slept
- The villagers detect an Iron Golem in a 7 block radius
Why don’t golems appear in my iron farm?
and to explain the most common problems I leave you this video! 👇

Since you’re here, I want to tell you that we have other really good posts. Check them out, you’ll surely like them! 😎👌
The zombie DOESN’T update
In most farms, zombies are used to scare the villagers and which generate an Iron Golem for their protection, BUT it may happen that the zombie doesn’t update (it freezes and doesn’t move) and therefore stops scaring the villagers. To solve this you must make the zombie walk or jump, To do this it is normal to use water with soul sand or that the zombie has enough space to walk.
Do villagers need to sleep for iron farm?
In the latest versions of minecraft, the villagers MUST sleep or at least make the animation of lying down, to generate the iron golem, for this to happen, the villagers must lose sight of the zombie enough to make this animation
Villager detection radius
Something very common and that happens often, is that there is an iron golem close enough to the farm for the villagers to detect it, this prevents a new golem from being generated. To solve this, you must build the iron farm far enough from a village, also check if there are holes or cracks near the farm where one can appear.
If the iron farm still doesn’t work or stops working, try the following
- The zombie died. It sounds like a joke but it’s an anecdote. Take care of the zombie from the sun, from the golems and put a label on it so that it doesn’t disappear.
- The golem spanwn elsewhere and doesn’t die. For this place leaf blocks, glass or thread where the golems SHOULD NOT appear.
- Remember that there must be at least three villagers per module or if it is a zombie-free farm, they must be at least 5
- If the golems don’t fall into the lava zone, place water currents to push them.
Iron Farm Tutorial without redstone without labels
On my Youtube channel I have a good tutorial on how to make a very efficient iron farm!!, this is the type of farm I usually use and it is good!
Why are cats spawning in my iron farm but not golems?
It is very possible that cats appear in Iron Farms, since these are generated by villagers and since cats, villagers do not detect them and if they do not detect a cat, they generate a new one.
Thank you very much for getting here!!!
